Cephalopod

The word cephalopod is the name given to the group of mollusks that have tentacles and large heads. These include octopuses, squid, nautilus, and cuttlefish species. The Greek roots of this word – cephalo- (meaning head) and -pod (meaning foot) – come from the fact that many members of this family have their feet (tentacles) attached directly to their heads!
